CorMae is an up-and-coming punk and riot grrrl-inspired band from Austin that started with nothing more than a social media ad and a dream in February 2024. The five-piece ensemble delivers a high-octane sound that bridges early 2000s indie rock with the defiant spirit of late '90s Riot Grrl.

The band has made waves in the Austin music scene with their releases: the pop-forward garage rock EP Cutie Core (April 2025) and the more punk-forward Hot Damn! EP (October 2025), which includes a punkified cover of Sheb Woolley's "Purple People Eater." They've opened for major acts like Of Montreal, Murder City Devils, and Pretty Girls Make Graves, and were nominated by the Austin Chronicle for ATX's 2025 Best Punk Band.

CorMae writes songs about life, love, social, and economic struggles, with live shows aimed at commiserating on these issues with the audience. Their mission is to create an inclusive community for fans of all ages, creeds, races, and genders—a space where people can share cathartic moments through music and dancing together.
