Kill Me (SXSW)
Kill Me is a darkly comedic murder mystery that premiered at SXSW 2026 in Austin. The film stars Charlie Day as Jimmy, who wakes up in a bathtub after an apparent suicide attempt—except he's convinced he didn't do it. With help from Allison Williams, a 911 operator, Jimmy launches an amateur investigation to determine if he's being hunted by a killer or chasing his own demons.
Directed by Peter Warren, this bold thriller explores mental health and suicidality through a gripping, hilarious lens. The ensemble cast also includes Giancarlo Esposito, Aya Cash, and Jessica Harper, alongside David Krumholtz and Tony Cavalero. The suspects range from angry ex-girlfriends to resentful stepfathers—but Jimmy himself might be the prime suspect.
This is a World Premiere screening at a major film festival, perfect for fans of intelligent dark comedies and mystery thrillers that don't shy away from serious themes.
