Where Phoenixes Dare: A One-Night-Only LARP is an interactive theater experience at the Tiny Minotaur tavern where you become a fantasy character caught up in the excitement of a rare phoenix sighting. Will you help protect this magnificent creature, or pursue your own mysterious agenda?

This immersive adventure runs from 7:00pm to 11:00pm and welcomes adventurers age 21+. Costumes and roleplay are required to fully participate, though you can simply check in at the gatehouse if you prefer to observe. Team up with fellow taverngoers, strategize, or go rogue—just keep the fun alive for everyone.

Cost: FREE for tavern members and up to 3 guests per member; $15 for non-members

The Venue

Welcome to the magical realm of the Tiny Minotaur Tavern - Austin's extraordinary fantasy escape! This enchanting 21+ venue is a treasure trove of imagination where fantasy comes alive in the heart of East Austin.

The Tiny Minotaur began as a humble pop-up tavern in an alley and has blossomed into a spectacular 6,000 square foot immersive fantasy world. This private social club combines movie-set quality art installations, live performances, and a welcoming tavern atmosphere where fellow nerds can gather!

Experience live Quests - seasonal 90-minute theatrical adventures based in the homebrewed world of Karth
Enjoy fantasy-inspired live music, dungeon synth performances, and sometimes even drag shows
Play tabletop games, try the Minotaur's custom PvP card combat game, or simply relax with a drink
Costumes encouraged but not required (sweatpants or Renaissance Faire outfits equally welcome!)

The venue is fully ADA-accessible and maintains a strict policy against discriminatory behavior, ensuring everyone can enjoy this magical escape. While you won't find three-course meals, snacks like meat/vegetarian/GF options are typically available. Just remember - this fantastical realm is strictly for adults 21+, no little adventurers or furry companions allowed (except service animals)!
