Chi'Lantro BBQ is a vibrant Korean-Mexican fusion restaurant that has become an Austin favorite since its humble beginnings as a food truck in 2010. Founded by Jae Kim, who started the business with just $30,000 of savings and maxed-out credit cards to pursue his dream, Chi'Lantro has grown into a successful chain with multiple locations throughout Austin and one in Houston.

The restaurant's name cleverly combines "kimchi" and "cilantro," reflecting its unique culinary fusion that reinvents traditional Korean and Mexican dishes. Chi'Lantro is most famous for creating The Original Kimchi Fries™ – a mouthwatering combination of hot French fries topped with homemade caramelized kimchi, Korean BBQ, fresh herbs, sesame seeds, and their signature homemade sauce. This iconic dish is served more than 200,000 times annually!
