Dark Star Orchestra

Dark Star Orchestra is a seven-piece tribute band celebrating over 20 years and 2,700+ shows recreating the Grateful Dead concert experience. They perform set lists from the Dead's 30-year touring history or create unique arrangements, allowing fans of all ages to experience the magic of Deadhead culture.

What makes Dark Star Orchestra special goes beyond just replicating the music. The band captures the complete experience—the energy, improvisation, and distinctive style of each era of the Grateful Dead. Their performances have featured guest appearances from original Dead members like Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, plus renowned musicians from Phish, The Allman Brothers, and more.

Dark Star Orchestra has built an impressive international following, performing across the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean. They headline major festivals including Bonnaroo, SummerFest, and The Peach Music Festival, host their own annual Dark Star Jubilee festival (now in its sixth year), and run Jam in the Sand—an ocean-side four-night event in Jamaica.
