Gear up for a feel-good day at the Volunteer at CapTex Triathlon, where you get a front-row spot to all the action and help keep Austin’s biggest Memorial Day tri tradition running smoothly.

On May 24th, 2026 at 9:00 am, Austin Triathlon Club is rallying friendly faces and big energy to support athletes as they take on the CapTex Tri course. Whether you’re a seasoned tri vet or just tri-curious, this is your chance to soak up race-day vibes without having to swim, bike, or run a single mile.

There are two main ways to jump in:

• Expo Crew – Welcome athletes, share your love for Austin Triathlon Club, and help answer questions about race logistics, the course, and the club. You’ll be part hype team, part friendly concierge, helping calm those pre-race jitters.
• Hydration / Aid Station Heroes – Hand out water and sports drink, cheer like crazy, and give athletes that extra boost just when they need it most. It’s loud, fun, and one of the most appreciated roles on the course.

Expect a laid-back, team-focused atmosphere with plenty of camaraderie. You’ll likely be working alongside other club members and local tri fans, swapping stories, learning race tips, and getting inspired by athletes of all levels—from first-timers to seasoned podium chasers.

• Cheer squad status: unlocked – you’re encouraged to bring your loudest voice and best cowbell skills.
• No experience needed – just show up ready to help, smile, and follow simple instructions from event and club coordinators.
• Perfect for anyone curious about triathlon – you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at how a major race actually works.
