Barbie One-Day Art Camp at Oak Hill

Details

Barbie fans, assemble! The Barbie One-Day Art Camp at Oak Hill is rolling up in a pink corvette of creativity for kids ages 6–12 on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM.

This single-day camp is the perfect dose of glittery fun for young artists who love all things Barbie and art. Guided by experienced artists and certified art educators, campers will spend the day dreaming up colorful creations and learning real art skills along the way.

  • Barbie-inspired projects: Artists will create a fabulous corvette perspective collage, learning how to show depth and distance on a flat page while designing Barbie’s ultimate ride.

  • Draw Barbie’s puppy: Campers get step-by-step instruction on how to draw Barbie’s adorable pet pup, building confidence in character drawing and proportions.

  • Creative skill-building: While it feels like pure fun, kids are practicing composition, perspective, line work, and storytelling through their art.

  • Hands-on, messy fun: This isn’t a sit-and-watch kind of camp. Kids will be using real art materials, experimenting, layering, gluing, drawing, and likely coming home with a bit of paint on their sleeves and a lot of pride in their projects.

To keep your camper comfy and focused on creating, be sure to pack a few essentials.

  • What to bring:

    • Lunch

    • Snack

    • Water

  • What to wear: Clothes that can get messy. Some art materials stain, and that’s half the fun—this is not the day for brand-new outfits.

  • Optional: A cozy sweater or light jacket; the studio’s AC can get a little chilly when you’re sitting and creating for a few hours.

The Barbie One-Day Art Camp is available at both of The Art Garage’s locations, including the Oak Hill Circle Drive studio and the North Lamar studio, so you can choose the spot that works best for your schedule.

Spaces for themed one-day camps like this tend to fill quickly, especially when Barbie is involved, so early registration is highly recommended. Expect your camper to head home with bright, joyful artwork, new drawing skills, and plenty of stories about the Barbie-inspired day they just had.

Perfect for kids who love Barbie, love art, or just love a good creative adventure, this camp is a fun way to kick off late spring with color, imagination, and a whole lot of pink.
