Embodied -- Celebrating 55 Years of ATX Pride
Details
Get ready for a Pride celebration that goes beyond the parade and dives straight into the heart of identity, memory, and movement. Embodied: Celebrating 55 Years of ATX Pride arrives on June 27, 2026 at 6:00 PM for a one-night showcase of Austin creativity, community, and queer joy.
Presented by ATX Artists for Social Impact, this flagship production reimagines Pride through an interdisciplinary lens—mixing cultural heritage, personal reflection, lived experience, and artistic expression into one vibrant evening. Instead of simply looking at Pride, Embodied asks you to feel it, move with it, and witness it in all its layered beauty.
Expect a lineup that centers Austin-based professional BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ visual artists, musicians, and dancers, with influences and traditions spanning:
- classical
- jazz
- ballet
- tap dancing
- contemporary dance
- Filipino musical and movement traditions
- West African musical and movement traditions
The evening builds toward the world premiere of All This Flesh, an original dance short film conceived by Artistic Director Caitlin Elledge, produced by ATX Artists for Social Impact, and performed by Capital Contemporary Ballet. It’s a bold centerpiece for an event rooted in artistic excellence and community celebration.
With early bird tickets available now, this is a great chance to be part of a meaningful Pride milestone—honoring the 55th anniversary of Austin’s first Pride March and celebrating the power of performance to tell stories that matter.
Whether you’re coming for the dance, the music, the film, or the community energy, Embodied promises an evening that is heartfelt, inclusive, and unforgettable.
