Vic and Al's

Vic & Al's is a family-owned restaurant and bar nestled in the Cherrywood area of Austin, bringing the rich flavors of Southern Louisiana and Texas Gulf Coast to local food enthusiasts. This charming eatery serves up scratch-made Cajun cuisine with strong Italian influences, reflecting the owners' diverse culinary heritage.

Founded by cousins Matt and Nic Patrizi (the same folks behind Patrizi's Italian food trailer), Vic & Al's pays homage to their great-grandfather Vic, who reportedly introduced New Orleans-style barbecue shrimp to Texas in the 1940s. The restaurant officially opened in 2019, offering a delicious array of Cajun classics in a modern brick-and-mortar space.
