Hayes who in 1849 described Austin as "an inconsiderable village with large expectations."

As the newest whiskey distillery in Austin proper, Fierce Whiskers boasts a state-of-the-art sustainable production facility featuring a copper pot still from renowned Vendome Copper and Brass Works out of Louisville. At the heart of their operation stands an impressive five-story bonded rickhouse that allows for creative control while harnessing Texas's stubborn climate to produce distinctive flavor profiles.

Their product lineup includes:

1. Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Their gold medal-winning bourbon (released May 2024) features notes of maple, butterscotch, and vanilla with hints of leather and tobacco. Aged just over 3 years in white oak barrels at 98 proof.
2. Texas Straight Rye Whiskey - This award-winning 90-proof rye offers spice cabinet notes alongside black tea, caramel, and vanilla flavors.
