The name "Tare" (pronounced tah-reh) refers to a sweetened, thickened, umami-flavored sauce used to accentuate but not overpower flavors - perfectly representing the restaurant's philosophy. Each meal highlights local, seasonal Texas produce alongside premium fish sourced directly from Japanese markets and dry-aged in-house.

Guests enjoy Kappo-style omakase - a multi-course experience left entirely to the chef's creativity - featuring an array of embellished nigiri and both hot and cold dishes. The foundation of this culinary journey showcases fish from Japan with creative Texas accents, such as:
