Join the Pease Park Chess Club for a welcoming, outdoor chess experience in Austin! Every Saturday afternoon, chess lovers and curious newcomers gather under the shade of the beautiful Pease Park trees for both organized tournaments and casual games.

• Inclusive atmosphere—all ages and skill levels are encouraged, from first-timers to experienced players.
• Free to attend! There are no membership dues or registration fees.
• Organized tournaments usually start at 1:30pm and run until about 3:15pm, with casual chess from 1pm to 4pm.
• Bring your own board and clock if you can, but don’t worry if you can’t—just bring your enthusiasm!
