Free LGBTQ+ Latin Dance Classes offered to the community

Celebrate Pride month with a joyful, welcoming Free LGBTQ+ Latin Dance Class at Esquina Tango, a community-loved Austin spot where everyone is invited to move, learn, and connect. This 4-week workshop is taught by Robbie Sky and kicks off with a fun, low-pressure first session on June 13, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

Whether you’re brand new to dance or already have a favorite rhythm, this class is all about having a good time while exploring classic Latin styles like:

• Salsa
• Merengue
• Bachata

No partner and no experience are needed, so you can show up solo, bring friends, or roll in with your whole chosen family. Drop-ins are welcome, and you can sign up in advance or at the door.

This workshop is especially created as a space by and for the LGBTQ+ community, with the heart of building belonging, celebrating identity, and making dance feel accessible to all. Esquina Tango is known for its warm, inclusive vibe and its commitment to creating a home for community members of every kind.

The class runs through July 11, with no class on July 4, and is supported in part by the City of Austin Economic Development Department. Bring your dancing shoes, your curiosity, and your pride — this is a beautiful chance to learn something new while celebrating community on the dance floor.
