Free LGBTQ+ Latin Dance Classes offered to the community
Details
Turn up the rhythm, turn up the pride! Free LGBTQ+ Latin Dance Classes are bringing big energy and bigger smiles to the dance floor with a special 4-week workshop that’s all about community, connection, and seriously fun moves.
What it is: A totally free Latin dance series centered on LGBTQ+ joy, but genuinely open to everyone. Allies, newbies, seasoned dancers, shy wallflowers, and full-on dance-floor divas are all welcome.
When you’re going: Saturday, June 13th, 2026 at 4:15 pm, right in the sweet spot between lazy afternoon and evening plans.
The vibe: Think vibrant music, friendly faces, and an atmosphere where you can try something new without worrying about getting every step perfect. This is a celebration, not an audition.
What you’ll learn: Fun, accessible Latin styles like Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata. You’ll get a feel for rhythm, basic footwork, partner turns, and how to really move with the music.
No partner needed: Come solo, with a friend, with a date, or with your whole crew. Instructors often rotate partners, so you’ll get to dance with different people and meet new friends.
No experience required: Brand-new to dancing? Perfect. The class is designed to be beginner-friendly while still offering a good challenge for more experienced dancers who want to refine their fundamentals and styling.
Why it’s special: This isn’t just about learning turns and steps—it's about creating a welcoming space where LGBTQ+ community members and allies can feel at home, celebrated, and free to express themselves.
Community feel: Expect plenty of smiles, encouraging instructors, and a low-pressure environment where messing up is just part of the fun. It’s a great way to connect with others who love music, dance, and queer community.
Perfect for Pride season: These classes are a fantastic way to celebrate Pride beyond parades and parties—by moving your body, learning something new, and sharing the joy of Latin dance together.
What to bring: Comfortable clothes you can move in, shoes that stay on your feet and allow you to pivot (think sneakers or dance shoes, not flip-flops), and a water bottle. Most importantly, bring an open mind and a willingness to laugh at yourself while you learn.
If you’ve ever wanted to try Salsa, Merengue, or Bachata, this is your moment. By 5:15 pm you’ll walk out a little sweatier, a lot happier, and with some new steps in your back pocket—plus a deeper connection to a community that dances, celebrates, and shows up for each other.
Get ready to spin, smile, and celebrate: your Saturday just got a whole lot more fabulous.
