This special trivia night is all about the legends, record-breakers, underdogs, and barrier-smashers who’ve changed the game in women’s sports. From Olympic ice to World Cup pitches, track lanes to tennis courts, you’ll get five rounds packed with questions about iconic moments, historic firsts, and the athletes who made it all happen.

Theme: Women’s sports & women athletes, from Alysa Liu to Zhanna Pintusevich-Block and beyond
Schedule: Registration from 6:30–7:00 pm, trivia from 7:00–9:00 pm
Gameplay: Free to play, teams of 1–6 players
How it works: Questions are scored through a mobile site, so one teammate needs a charged phone
Prizes: Yes, there are goodies on the line for the top teams

Welcome to 1972 Pub, Austin's first and only bar exclusively dedicated to celebrating women's and gender-expansive sports! Named after the year Title IX was signed into law, prohibiting sex-based discrimination and sparking a nationwide boom in women's sports, we're proud to be a groundbreaking venue in the heart of Austin.

Located right across from the University of Texas campus on The Drag, our pub creates a vibrant space where female athletes and ALL sports fans can unite, cheer, and feel empowered. Our big screens showcase women's sports year-round, from March Madness to WNBA games and everything in between!

Founded by Debra Hallum and Marlene du Plessis, who bring over 30 years of combined experience in educational and corporate leadership
